Fusion for demolition contractors

Software for demolition contractors who price, plan and close out their own jobs

Fusion is Surtori’s AI platform for UK demolition contractors. It takes the work that eats an estimator’s weekend and a contracts manager’s evenings (take-off and pricing, RAMS and POWRA, Section 61 paperwork, site diaries, waste records, the monthly margin view) and runs it off one knowledge graph built from your own jobs.

What is demolition contractor software?

Demolition contractor software is the set of tools a demolition business uses to price tenders, plan the works, keep the site compliant and see whether each job is making money. Most firms run it as a patchwork: a takeoff tool, a folder of RAMS templates, a paper or app-based site diary, spreadsheets for waste, and Sage or Xero for the accounts. Each piece works. The trouble is the gaps between them.

Picture the strip-out where the R&D survey comes back with more asbestos than the tender allowed for. The estimator knows. The contracts manager finds out on site. The accounts team sees it six weeks later as a cost line with no matching variation. Fusion is built to close those gaps, so the survey finding, the revised method statement, the variation and the margin forecast are the same piece of information, seen by the people who need it, on the day it changes.

What Fusion does on a demolition job

The areas where demolition firms lose the most hours and the most margin. Each runs on the same graph, so you can start with one and add the rest.

Estimating and tenders

Price the job from the drawings and the survey

Should-cost estimating that reads drawings and survey reports, builds the quantities and prices them against your own rates and past jobs. The estimator checks and adjusts rather than measuring from scratch. This is the capability with a measured client result (below).

How AI demolition estimating works

RAMS, POWRA and permits

Method statements written from this job, not the last one

RAMS drafted from the scope, the survey and the programme, so the site address and the hazards belong to this site. POWRAs captured at the workface, with a stop condition that reaches the supervisor while the gang is still there.

What a POWRA system should do

Section 61, Section 80 and notices

Statutory paperwork drafted and tracked

Section 61 applications drafted from the method and the noise controls, with the 28-day decision period tracked. Section 80 notices and F10s logged against the programme so nothing starts before the paperwork allows it.

What goes in a Section 61 application

Site diary and variations

A record that stands up at final account

Daily records of labour, plant, weather and instructions, linked to the programme and the contract. When the client’s instruction turns into extra work, the variation is raised from the diary entry instead of being reconstructed from memory three months later.

How variations leak margin

Waste and ESG

Diversion figures you can put in a tender

Waste transfer records, EWC codes and diversion rates gathered as the skips leave site, ready for the tier-1 client’s ESG return and for Digital Waste Tracking, rather than rebuilt from tickets at the end of the job.

Where asbestos and disposal costs go

Live job margin

See the forecast final margin every week

Forecast final margin is forecast final value minus forecast final cost. Fusion keeps both sides current from the diary, the variations and the cost to date, so a job drifting below its tender margin shows up while there is still time to do something about it, not at final account.

Operational efficiency for demolition contractors

How is Fusion different from Procore or a RAMS app?

Most construction software is either a big platform built for main contractors or a single-purpose app that does one document well. Demolition sits awkwardly between the two. A general platform will hold your documents but was not designed around asbestos surveys, soft strip sequencing or a Section 80 notice. A RAMS app will produce a tidy method statement but has no idea what the job was priced at.

How a Fusion rollout works

We start from the decision you want to make better, not from a data project. For most demolition firms that is one of two things: pricing tenders faster without losing accuracy, or knowing which live jobs are drifting. The first working product goes live in weeks, on your own jobs, and the knowledge graph fills out as your team uses it. Nobody spends a year cleaning data before anything runs.

Every agent sits in the Agent Control Room. You decide what it may do on its own and what needs a person to approve, you can switch any agent off, and every action is logged. That is usually the first question a commercial director asks, and it should be.

The proof we can point to is estimating. A UK construction and fit-out contractor of circa £30m turnover cut estimating time per bid by 60 to 70%, with cost accuracy improving as the variance between estimated and delivered cost narrowed. Read the case study.

Questions demolition contractors ask

Who is Fusion for?

Demolition and strip-out contractors who tender regularly and have someone whose job is estimating or commercial management. If tenders and month-end are done by the MD at the kitchen table, start with a conversation rather than a platform.

Do we have to replace Sage or Xero?

No. Fusion sits alongside your accounts system and works from your own data. Your accountants keep the ledger they already use.

Can it write our RAMS for us?

It drafts them from the job’s scope, survey and programme. A competent person on your side still reviews and signs them, which is where the responsibility sits and where it should stay.

How long before we see something working?

Weeks, for the first product. We agree the first decision to improve in a working session, then build that before anything else.

Where is our data held?

Either in Surtori’s managed platform or inside your own cloud tenancy. Access is role-based, so each person sees only the jobs and tools assigned to them.

What does it cost?

It depends which products you switch on and how many live jobs you run. We price after the working session, once we know what you want to start with.

Start with one job you already have on

Bring a live tender or a job that is worrying you. In a working session we will show you what Fusion does with it, on your own documents.
